A crash occurred on Interstate-680 in Fremont in which a Tesla slammed into a Fremont Fire Engine on June 14.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) after being hit from behind by a semi, the Tesla plowed into the stationary fire truck that was responding to a multi-vehicle crash. The collision occurred just after 1 PM. The Tesla Model Y struck the fire engine as it was on the northbound lane of traffic at Auto Mall Parkway.
According to CBS Bay Area News the driver of the Tesla had to be hospitalized, however no firefighters were injured. The crash blocked several lanes on the I-680.
“It’s imperative that the public understands that these Tesla vehicles have been malfunctioning, ultimately harming the lives of many out on the roads,” said Brett Schreiber personal injury attorney at Singleton Schreiber. “Tesla vehicles are known for their potentially defective features which can be deadly. The sooner Tesla is held accountable, the better chance Tesla consumers have at not being involved in seriously catastrophic collisions.”

Catastrophic Fremont Tesla Accidents
Tesla, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has gained significant attention for its innovative technologies and advancements in the automotive industry. However, Tesla has also faced a concerningly frequent amount of accidents and safety concerns in the last few years. Fremont has witnessed a number of accidents involving Tesla vehicles. It is important to note that accidents involving Tesla vehicles are not unique to Fremont but occur worldwide, as the company’s vehicles are widely distributed and in high demand.
In fact, several individuals have reportedly been killed in car accidents involving Tesla Model Y vehicles in Santa Clara. Self-driving vehicles have increased in popularity over recent years and as a result many companies of autonomous vehicles in turn claim that these capabilities have many benefits. Benefits include roadway safety, reduced traffic congestion, and decreased collisions. This however, is not the case unfortunately as many crashes involving cars with self-driving capabilities have been involved in minor, severe, and extreme crash cases.
Navigating the legal aspects of a crash involving a Tesla can be complicated and ultimately requires the knowledge and guidance of an experienced personal injury attorney. An attorney can help victims establish liability involving a Tesla with self-driving capabilities that would otherwise be challenging due to multiple parties being held responsible for the incident. These parties include the company that made the vehicle, the company responsible for producing the software embedded in the autonomous car, and the manufacturer of vehicle equipment and parts, etc.
According to an article by CNN regarding a crash that occurred in late 2022, a Tesla Model S’s “full self-driving” feature triggered an eight-car crash in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tesla’s driver-assist technologies and “full self-driving” is being investigated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration following reports of unexpected braking that occurs. The breaking comes without warning to the driver repeatedly and at random during a single drive.
“My hope is that those involved in Tesla accidents receive beneficial legal assistance as they navigate the complexities of these types of dangerous collisions,” added Mr. Schreiber. “Many lives are affected each day when each Tesla’s self-driving capabilities malfunction out on the roads leading to serious harm and injuries.”
